Padar Island

Padar Island is the third largest island in the Komodo National Park. It is located in the south central of the park, between Komodo and Rinca Island.

In the past, Padar was one of the island in Komodo where there were dragons live. Along with the illegal hunting activities by human being, they are slowly disappeared and almost unable to see them anymore, even once. The cause is simply because of the lack of foods, like deer and wild boar. Their extinction can be because they just died alone without any food to eat or prolonged hunger or they can be migrated to nearest island, Rinca. Nowadays, the island remains empty with no dragons. However, other wild animals such as wild boars are still around daily.

Although the island has no dragons existed, the island is known for having beautiful, but short treks and is a hot spot for photographers. The island is a great spot for sunrise and sunset making it perfect for capturing the beautiful beaches or the rolling hills catching rays of light.

Kalong Island

Kalong Island is the mangrove forest area and it has an important role to balance to nature, especially the sea. As original habitat for bats, you are suggested to come when the day almost dark because at the day they sleep or just hanging on the tree over the island.

The rest of light from the sun becomes the background of millions of bats. They fly energetically by making a noise and thundering toward Labuhan Bajo. This moment is scheduled to make the people able to see the rite of bats when they come out from the island.

Sembilan Island

The name is Mangiatan Island. However, most of the tourists call it Sembilan Island. Like the name cited, it has the shape of number 9. The island is unpopulated, actually. It is famous for its solemn and beautiful nature. The size is quite small, but it features numerous attractions. Even Sembilan Island is small, it is quite stunning. It features white and gold sand.

Pink Beach

Komodo contains a beach with “pink” sand, one of only seven in the world. The sand appears pink because it is a mixture of white sand combined with red sand, formed from pieces of Foraminifera. With a few trees along the beach for shade, this stretch of coast makes a fine place to relax or enjoy a snorkel or dive in the crystal clear waters. It is possible to spot a striped clown fish nestled among the protective tentacles of its sea anemone host, or to see a grouper lazily swimming by a flamboyant soft coral.

Rinca Island

Rinca Island one of of second biggest on Komodo National park Belong to East Nusa Tenggarta Province Within west Manggarai Regency ,The Island famous of Komodo Dragon and others animal such us Wild pig ,buffalo ,long tailed macaque ,and many kind of birds . Rinca Island has good place to See Komodo Dragon ,the island serve Nature Environment with fewer people disturb them
